Abstract: (11 Views) |
The present study aimed to investigate the components of economic education from the perspective of parents of primary school students in Kazerun. A sequential-exploratory mixed-methods design was utilized. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, both of which demonstrated confirmed validity and reliability. The statistical population included parents of students in grades 4 to 6. For the qualitative phase, 22 parents were selected via purposive sampling until theoretical saturation. In the quantitative phase, 330 parents were selected via cluster random sampling based on the Krejcie and Morgan table. Interview data were analyzed using Colaizzi’s seven-step method, yielding 127 initial codes and 59 secondary codes. Data were validated using second-order Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Results identified two main components of economic education: "Economic Insight" and "Economic Action." In the insight dimension, parents taught children about livelihood management, economic resilience, and saving. In the action dimension, they encouraged economic optimism, acceptance of current conditions, and entrepreneurship. |
