Abstract: (11 Views) |
This article examines the status of the Iranian family on Instagram pages, with an emphasis on "parent–child relationships". The study is exploratory and employs qualitative content analysis, using Myring's eight-step method. The sample consisted of the content of the top 150 Iranian Instagram pages in terms of followers, comments, and likes during the period from April 4, 2021 to May 5, 2021. The results were analyzed using NVivo software, and coding reliability was confirmed using Cohen's kappa coefficient. The analysis identified four themes and ten sub-themes concerning "parent–child relationships" within the family environment on Instagram. Within the theme of "speech and communication patterns," the sub-themes "use of vulgar and immoral language toward parents" (50%) and "lying to parents" (30%) had the highest frequencies. Within the theme of "behavior and interactions," the sub-theme "kindness toward parents" had a frequency of 65%, and "lack of modesty and propriety in parent–child relationships" had a frequency of 48%. Within the theme of "lifestyle," the sub-theme "promotion of family dancing with parents" ranked first with a frequency of 70%. |
