The present study aimed to design an optimal value management model for the Islamic–Iranian family, addressing the central question: What constitutes the ideal model of an Islamic–Iranian family with a focus on the cultural value of preserving and strengthening the family? This research employed an exploratory approach using grounded theory and semi‑structured interviews. The sample included 20 participants—10 family studies experts and 10 specialists in cultural management. Findings revealed that the optimal model for the Islamic–Iranian family integrates internal contextual and foundational family factors (such as spouse compatibility and mutual support), and the influence of individual, familial, and cultural dimensions in sustaining and reinforcing the family. At the same time, it acknowledges the impact of external intervening factors, including social and economic conditions. By attending to these causal, contextual, and intervening factors and, consequently, implementing broad managerial strategies in two domains— changing managerial paradigms (including: rethinking policies and guidelines and redefining and reproducing models) and education and support — one can expect outcomes at micro and macro levels. These include individual outcomes (individual health, family and member flourishing, and needs fulfillment) and social outcomes (social advancement, social well-being, and increased social capital), the principal result of which would be the preservation and strengthening of the family unit in Iran. |
