Abstract: (223 Views) |
The present study aims to develop and validate a parenting education package focused on strengthening self-esteem in parents, based on Self-Determination Theory. According to this theory, support for basic psychological needs (autonomy, competence, and relatedness) influences self-esteem. The research method for developing the educational package falls under qualitative studies and systematic review, while the validation phase used quantitative content validity assessment. The statistical population for the validation phase consisted of experts and specialists in psychology and counseling, selected through purposive sampling, with five individuals serving as the sample and validation panel members. The content validity ratio for each item in the package was calculated as 1, and the overall content validity index for the package was also determined as 1. The results indicate that the parenting education package focused on strengthening self-esteem based on Self-Determination Theory possesses appropriate content validity and can be used for educational and research applications. |
